A note from the publisher

Most of us have learned to read the news with a question in the back of our minds: what are they not telling me? Misleading headlines, selective omissions and opinion dressed up as fact have become so common that many readers no longer trust anyone.

Vocemundi is my attempt at a different answer. Not another voice with an agenda, but a newsroom whose only loyalty is to the facts, and which shows its work.

We read outlets from every region and every side: Western public broadcasters, commercial media, and state agencies from Russia, China, Turkey and elsewhere. Not because they are all equally reliable, but because you cannot see the whole picture from one window. We then separate what is confirmed from what is merely reported, what is disputed, and what each party claims. Every article lists its sources, with links, so you can check them yourself.

Our newsroom is assisted by artificial intelligence, and we say so openly. Three AI reviewers from different companies and countries check every claim against the sources before anything is published. No single company, and no single country, decides what is true here. Stories that involve accusations against named people or organisations are never published without explicit editorial approval.

We will make mistakes. When we do, we will correct them in the open, with a date, and never delete them in silence.

Vocemundi is independent. It supports no government, party, candidate or cause. It will be free to read, funded by clearly labelled advertising that never influences what we cover.
