China sanctions Paraguay and Belize ministers over their countries' ties with Taiwan
China's foreign ministry imposed asset freezes, transaction bans and entry restrictions on two ministers from countries that maintain formal diplomatic relations with Taiwan, effective Monday 12 October 2026.
