Washington resident exposed to bird flu at infected dairy dies, county officials say
A hospitalized Yakima County resident with underlying health conditions has died after exposure to avian influenza at a dairy with infected cattle, according to county health officials; the Associated Press reports it is the first U.S. bird flu death in a year.
